The routine in the Ladybird Room (Wobbler Room) is a little more structured than in the Caterpillar Room (Baby Room).

Appropriate activities are introduced to your child aiding all areas of development and in particular their intrinsic sense of independence and exploration. This is provided through short structured play programmes. Every day is action packed with exciting activities designed to nurture their physical development, language skills, and intellectual progress through storytelling, singing, dancing, mini me yoga, messy play and outdoor activities.

Arts, crafts, music, books, puzzles, table top toys, construction boxes, home play, water play, and sand play are just some of the fun activities on offer. Clean-up time is naturally integrated into the cycle at the end of Playtime.

We are very fortunate to have a vast amount of wonderful land with beautiful trees, flowers and wild life. We bring the children in their six seat buggies for walks around the wonderful grounds; we also have an enclosed garden attached to the room for the children to enjoy in a safe environment.

Therefore, a little rain, hail wind, or snow will not stop us from getting out and exploring our different gardens.

We supply wet pants to help protect your child’s clothing. Risky Play is a big part of Ladybird’s adventures and it’s an important part of every child’s development. Therefore, we will encourage each child to take risks while playing indoors and outdoors. Risky play is supervised at all times.

Each child has his/her own key worker who assesses the child’s learning, work, and growth.

An individual Aistear diary, observations, pictures, gems are done on an ongoing basis.

We encourage parents to review all the information uploaded on the Childpath app as they provide depth reflections on the learning and work of the children in the Ladybird room.
